Product Description

A frameless motor is a permanent magnet synchronous direct-drive motor that is shell-less, bearing-less, and shaftless. It consists only of a stator and a rotor, directly embedded into the equipment as part of the structure, and features high torque density, zero backlash, and high dynamic response.

Our technical team will evaluate customer requirements and select a suitable supplier. We will work with the supplier's R&D team to design and validate the product selection or magnetic circuit. After finalizing the solution, we will conduct simulations to ensure the reliability and controllability of the entire process.

Next comes the complex production process. We have simplified the frameless motor production process into ten steps. The following is the frameless motor production process:

1. Material inspection, the rotor of a frameless motor requires precision machining.

2.For attaching the strong magnetic sheets, an anaerobic adhesive is used. Some high-speed rotors have a layer of carbon fiber attached to the outside of the strong magnetic sheets to prevent the sheets from being thrown off by excessive centrifugal force.

3.Automatic winding machines perform the winding work of the stator.

4.For some small-batch or customized products with high requirements for winding, manual winding is necessary. Manual winding is a highly technical task.

5.Organize the windings. Soft wooden tooling will be used here to avoid damaging the insulating varnish on the winding surface.

6.Soldering, involves soldering the windings to the conductors or PCB interface board.

7.The glue pouring process needs to be carried out in a vacuum environment to prevent air from entering, and then it needs to be baked in an oven.

8.Remove any residual adhesive from the surface of the stator magnet sheets.

9.Testing includes three-phase continuity testing, load testing, etc.

Product feature And Application

The advantages of frameless motors are as follows:

1. High torque density: Torque is 2–3 times that of ordinary servos for the same volume, with excellent low-speed, high-torque characteristics.

2. Zero backlash + high precision: Gearless/coupling-free, repeatability accuracy up to ±1 arcsecond, high rigidity, and strong anti-disturbance.

3. Ultra-high dynamic response: Extremely low rotor inertia, response frequency > 1kHz, suitable for high-speed start-stop and frequent reversing.

4. Compact and lightweight: Eliminating the housing and transmission components reduces volume/weight by 30%–50%, facilitating hollow cabling.

5. Long life and maintenance-free: No brushes, no gear wear, lifespan up to tens of thousands of hours, only bearings are consumables.

6. Flexible design: Outer diameter, inner diameter, and length can be customized according to the equipment shape, supporting hollow through holes (for cabling/pipeline passage).

1. Humanoid/Collaborative Robots: Joint-driven (lightweight, hollow wiring, high torque).

2. Semiconductor/Panel Equipment: Wafer stages, lithography machines, precision rotary stages.

3. Medical Equipment: Surgical robots, CT/MRI scanners.

4. Aerospace: Servo motors, satellite antennas, optoelectronic pods.

5. CNC Machine Tools: Direct-drive rotary stages, high-speed spindles, five-axis linkage.
